How the cost-of-a-rejection calculator works

The calculator is a planning aid, not a guarantee. It multiplies the rejection cycles you avoid by the weeks lost per cycle and your weekly carrying cost, then adds an estimated county re-review fee of $750 per cycle:

weeks_saved   = cycles_avoided × weeks_per_cycle
dollars_saved = weeks_saved × weekly_carrying_cost
                + 750 × cycles_avoided

Weekly-carrying-cost presets ($500 residential / $5,000 commercial / $10,000 multifamily) are starting points you can edit. Nothing you enter is stored. Estimates are for illustration; actual results vary by project and jurisdiction.
